Oversees daily operation and works closely with senior leadership and stakeholders to develop and execute operational plans that align with institutional, divisional, IPPH, and URB strategic goals.
Oversees direct financial activities relevant to IPPH and URB, including administration of funds related to federal, nonfederal, and philanthropic funds. Develops and manages budgets, including monitoring and reconciling accounts. Assists with fundraising and philanthropic activities, events and associated preparatory tasks. May select vendors and negotiate contracts.
Prepares and helps manage grant and contract proposals, IRB protocols, and ensures all records are in compliance. Develops financial reports and assists with seeking funding for grants.
Day-to-day management and administrative coordination of Chicago Center for Health and Environment â“ an NIEHS P30n Core Center.
Day-to-day management of the newly established graduate program in Precision Health and other IPPH training and educational programs.
Develops and implements office procedures and policies. Ensures compliance of staff with relevant office policies and guidelines.
Provides guidance on federal, institutional policies, legal, and Bangladesh government-related policies and procedures.
Develops and manages communications, which will include developing and managing digital, web and non-digital contents, preparing project related marketing materials (slides, brochures, presentations, etc.).
Manages special projects or functions essential to the organization including research translation locally and internationally.
May travel to Bangladesh and other overseas locations for interactions with URB local staff, community and institutional partners, as well as legal, Tax/Audit and Government stake-holders.
Institute Lead for Human Resources and may supervise, hire, train, appraise, promote, discipline, and terminate URB office staff.Directs and monitors the work of staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of work.
Performs some routine and complex assignments for the unit usually in the areas of finance, event planning or support services. Initiate the hiring process of students and staff for a unit, which includes the processing of payroll.
Responsible for training office staff on office procedures and compliance protocols. Coordinates special projects.
Assists in the monitoring of the various financial and budgetary activities, including vendors contracts. Preparing and monitoring the budget for a unit.
Researches and analyzes data to create reports, and may create other reports for grants and contracts.
Performs other related work as needed.
