The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems, housed in the College of Science and Technology is excited to invite applications for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position. This dynamic individual will teach in our undergraduate and graduate program on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus and online. The ideal applicant will be able to teach courses in our core curriculum, while bringing a specialized area of study that complements the existing faculty expertise. We are extremely interested in applicants who can teach existing information technology courses, including cybersecurity, data science/analytics, and IT project management. As a teaching institution, we seek applicants who are good instructors, and who can maintain a scholarly agenda and provide service to the Department and University.
The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems offers a BA in Information Management and Systems and in Health Informatics; BA in Information Management and Systems with a concentration in Health Information Management: BAS in Advanced Manufacturing; BS in Engineering Technology Management; and a Master of Informatics.

USC Upstate is seeking teacher-scholars who (i) have a commitment to excellence in teaching and working with a diverse student population and (ii) show clear potential for scholarly research and publication. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in student and civic engagement and active learning pedagogies, (e.g. service-learning, mentoring undergraduate research, and the scholarship of teaching, learning and application). Experience with teaching online or hybrid courses is a plus. Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Ph.D. in a field related to information management or information technology is required. ABD candidates with a planned completion date of August 15, 2021 hire may also be considered. A successful background check is required.
