This full time, benefits eligible position provides direct support of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and the entire ITS staff in the full range of administrative and telecommunication functions.
Supports the CIO and ITS staff with basic administrative duties
Answers the telephone, directs calls, corresponds via email with ITS staff and ITS customers
Maintains schedules of ITS staff availability, manages the CIO schedule, sets up various meetings, takes minutes
Organizes and maintains the permanent filing system for ITS
Serves as de facto business manager for the department
Manage the campus phone system environment
Programs, configures, administers, and manages the phone, voice mail, digital sign, call accounting, and 911 system
Maintains the budget for the telecommunication systems
Interfaces with contractors to add wiring in different areas on campus, coordinating closely with Physical Plant
Provides basic training and instruction on the use of the telephone system; sets up and supports conference phones as needed
Maintains all records for ITS budgets and spending commitments
Tracks ITS expenditures overall across all IT budgets
Maintains the inventory for all campus licenses and support agreements for all software commitments
Builds and maintains spreadsheets and databases of all commitments
Processes purchase requisitions, processes invoices, handles payments, interfaces with the Business Office
High school/GED required; preference for Associate’s degree or vocational/technical degree. Experience may substitute for educational requirement.
Minimum of 1 year related experience; preference for IT experience/acumen and knowledge of telecommunication systems.
Experience with MS Office, Google Suite, video conferencing platforms
